After studying electrical engineering and completing a technical MBA, I moved into the IT world, first in the automotive industry as a software developer and later in the financial services industry. There I worked for several years as a consultant, project manager and solution architect for banks and insurance companies. Already at that time it became clear to me what an immense economic potential lies hidden in data. In the last 4-5 years, my focus shifted to projects in which data products are developed as enablers for our corporate strategy.
Gion Sialm studied at the ETHZ electrical engineering, business admiration at the business school of St. Gallen and did his PhD at the research lab in Rüschlikon on CMOS and laser technology.
Thomas has been close to people, processes and data at KNF for over 25 years in a leadership role. After starting as an engineer, his path at the Freiburg site led him to IT/QM management and then to the CTO role. As a product owner, he is currently developing new features for smart refrigerators with integrated cameras and Home Connect, and advancing BSH's AI strategy. During his time as a research associate and doctoral student, he carried out research at the Technical University of Munich into machine learning, computer vision and audio signal processing.
Hendrik Siefert is responsible for expanding the data science, AI and intelligent automation capabilities of BSH’s Global Services division. In his other role as product manager for AIoT home appliances, he is concerned with providing BSH customers with added-value AI features in their home appliances. Before joining BSH, he established and managed software development and business intelligence teams in a variety of industries.
Together with her team Annkathrin Dangmann aims to build 1:1 campaign blueprints considering the channels e-mail, BMW App and in Car in order to leverage the full potential and synergies across markets my team. The campaigns are serving relevant touchpoints across the customer lifecycle phases such as lead nurturing campaigns for new products, follow ups on abandoned website journeys as well as retention and repurchase initiatives. Continuous improvement based on analyses as well as connecting markets on best practices are on top part of their tasks. Annkathrin joined the central customer interaction management team in 2021 and is happy to bring in the insights she gained working in the BMW central digital marketing department as well as brand strategy. Especially her experience working as MINI Marketing delegate in Latin America helps her to always bring in a pragmatic perspective: Done is sometimes better than perfect!
Edgar leads the team for Customer Data Science at the BMW Group and has been a passionate advocate of analytical optimizations in the field of CRM and Financial Risk ever since starting his work life. Besides of internal consulting, his team develops highly operative, predictive models on a lead/customer level to determine best contact timings and best offers for CRM purposes. He joined BMW back in 2016 to help establishing an NBA/NBO platform on a green field for the data science stream. Before that, Edgar has been working for Telefónica o2 Germany in the analytics team for CRM and Financial Risk after finishing is studiies at TU Munich in the field of Information systems with a focus on empirical research.
Dr. Frauke Oldewurtel is product manager of smart energy at BKW Energie AG, where she is responsible for business cases involving data analytics. With a degree in engineering management, she obtained her doctorate at the automatic control laboratory of ETH Zurich. Subsequently, she did post-doctorate work at the power systems laboratory of ETH Zurich and the University of California at Berkeley, and has written various publications on the subject of building automation and smart grids. She also worked as a project manager at Belimo AG, and as global product manager for building automation at Siemens AG.

Georg Sauer has held senior positions in the field of data and data analysis with a number of international corporations for over 20 years. For the past 3 years, he has been CDO of DB Energie and head of business intelligence for the Deutsche Bahn Group. He set up the team, the cloud-based infrastructure and the processes for the recently established division.
After eight years experience in online performance marketing, Franchesca Zanelli currently heads the customer & market intelligence team at Europa-Park GmbH & Co Mack KG. This team facilitates strategic business decisions through systematic analyses of customer data, market research data and system data. In this context, she has been in charge of a marketing automation project for the last two years.
Alexander Hecht has worked at ProSiebenSat.1 since 2017, currently in the role of BI architect. Previously, he had worked in IT consulting for several years, supporting customers in setting up data warehouses and data analytics applications. Alexander studied business informatics (bachelor and master) at the Technical University of Munich.
Dominik Ratzinger has worked for ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE for more than 5 years, currently in the role of product owner. He has worked in the field of business intelligence for 10 years, first as a consultant and then at ProSiebenSat.1. After studying business informatics, he first worked in the areas of front-end applications and data modelling before assuming the role of product owner.

He also supports the use of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence. Marianne is People Lead in Data Analytics & AI at Swisscom and manages 80 internal and 20 external colleagues in Data Services. She has been working in the information and communication technology industry for around 15 years for companies such as SAP, Deutsche Telekom and Swisscom. She has already successfully implemented several transformations of organizations, technologies and products. She has many years of experience in managing people (up to 100 colleagues in a team) and over 60 million Euro profit and loss responsibility. She has lived in 7 countries and is half Chilean, half German.
Rudolf Duttler is currently working as a data scientist within the condition monitoring team at RENK AG, focusing on marine and industry segments. After his education in economathematics and industrial engineering, he joined RENK as a software engineer, later transitioning to his current analytics role. At the moment he works on the continuation of the presented showcase project.

Murat Yurt is Head of Business Intelligence & Digital Analytics at DFL Digital Sports, where he is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies in the area of business intelligence and digital analytics. His tasks include analyzing data from digital platforms and channels, identifying trends and supporting decision-making based on data. He began his career in strategy consulting at Kearney, where he gained valuable experience in the field of corporate strategy. He then moved to IT consulting, where he worked as Lead Consultant for Advanced Analytics. MuratYurt holds a Master's degree in Information Science & Language Technology from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.
After studying mathematics, Christian Jung joined the database marketing department of a mail order company. He subsequently worked for various retailers and management consultancies in the fields of direct and database marketing, project management and process optimization. For the past 10 years, he has also been actively involved in these tasks at Baur Versand as Head of Customer Analysis and Project Manager.
Dr. Arndt Claussen is head of the center of excellence for data & analytics at Bahlsen. His team is responsible for data governance, business intelligence solutions, advanced analytics as well as Bahlsen's data & analytics infrastructure and data engineering. Dr. Claussen studied mathematics and has a Ph.D. in quantitative finance. As well as pursuing an academic career, he managed various data science projects before joining Bahlsen.

He serves as expert regarding innovation and commercialization in the Global Partnership on AI next to other advisory roles. Before joining UnternehmerTUM, he worked for McKinsey for five years and did his PhD at the Technical University of Munich.

Since 2016, she has been training large corporations (Ergo, Daimler, BMW, Allianz and others) with the "Scrumkitchen" workshop concept she developed.
